I WAS RECENTLY FEATURED IN OC WEEKLY!

A couple weeks ago I was approached by Vickie Chang, a fashion columnist for OC Weekly, to be interviewed for their magazine. Coincidence: Vickie and I actually went to the same high school, although she was a year older and we never really spoke to one another. I was aware she worked with OC Weekly once I came across her articles on Etsy and the Long Beach Craft Mafia a couple years back. Back then I was just starting my business and taking Etsy seriously, so to know she was supportive of the DIY community and that it was getting exposure in a  public forum like the OC Weekly was motivating and comforting for a newb like myself.

Two years later, I find a message in my Facebook inbox and I’m being asked to be interviewed. And two weeks ago, I find out the article’s up online on their website, it’s been published in their hardcopy issue, and it’s even featured on their Table of Contents, along with one of my photos! I wasn’t able to drop by the OC the week of its release, so Vickie was kind enough to send over some copies. They just came in a few days ago:
