We’re so excited to announce that we will be vending at this year’s ISA LA festival!

We had so much at last year’s ISA, it was a no brainer to jump on and be apart of the festivities once again. In ISA fashion, they’re pushing the envelope once more, and this should be the biggest one yet! Set outdoors for the first time at the Harry Bridges Memorial Park next to the famous Queen Mary ship in Long Beach, they’re planning a full outdoor music festival with a huge 14-act line up, food trucks, photo booths, and vendors (like yours truly!).

Better yet? Attendees at ISA will get the very first preview of the NEW STEPPIE FALL/WINTER COLLECTION! With its official release this Saturday, ISAers will get first dibbs on the new line before it even hits the online store! We’re so excited to share our new pieces with all of you, and so happy to be doing it at ISA!

Who knew a 1.5 hour shoot with three little rascals could take more out of me than my normal 7-8 hour shoots with three times as many models. There’s something to be said about children and their genuine nature — you can’t force them to stand and smile for two hours straight and you definitely can’t force them to do something they’re just not feeling (well maybe with a few lollipops as bribery). Thank goodness these little munchkins were cute as a button, and with a little bit of teamwork we were able to put together an adorable lookbook!

A huge thank you to Paola of Loving Hearts Captured Photography for helping me make this happen and aiding me through my very first kid photoshoot! I’m also insanely grateful for the model mamas for keeping their kids happy the day of, and well, for bringing adorable kiddos into the world!  Also can’t forget Chris Baclig for making an appearance for the fourth time, and of course, to the little rascals… Aly, Markis, and Lina.

This was surely an experience, and one I definitely learned a lot from. I don’t know how you mommy’s and daddy’s out there do it everyday, but my utmost respect goes out to all of you. They definitely are stealthy little ninjas!

With the new F/W collection coming soon, it’s time to retire a few of our classics to make room for the new. This is your last chance to grab your favorite designs before they’re completely out of stock.

Indeed, it’s the Steppie Fall/Winter 2011 collection! Well, in digital form, at least.

I just made my last and final tweaks to the new F/W line, and sent it off to the printers moments ago. At this point, it’ll be handled with care in hands I trust until I can finally reveal it to the public in a few weeks! I gotta say, I’m pretttty excited for the new collection. After long design sessions ’til sunrise and many, many iced lattes, I’m proud to say the new line is definitely taking a new surprising direction, while still staying true to Steppie spirits. There’s definitely a little of something for everyone. And maybe a bit more for dessert, too.

The next few weeks will drag with anticipation, but I’ll be sure to keep you preoccupied in the meantime. With a whole new collection coming into the workspace soon, it’s definitely time to retire some of our older designs. Of course, the only fun way to go about that is to hold a huge sale! It’ll be hitting the online shop very, very soon (within the next few days). Be sure to stay tuned as some quantities are very, very limited, and this may be your last chance to grab your favorite designs before they’re completely out of stock. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.
